i found out the day before that a friend of ours died. this was a way to get some feeling of doing something, or expressing something, or at least not just sitting around running a goddam ouroboros of the same two or three thoughts over and over. it's an honest tribute, it's probably about the prettiest thing i'll ever record, and i'll be fucked if i ever want to listen to it that much. in keeping with the spirit of the original album, each part was the first take. nobody else go and die, ok? i'll end up shorting out the frickin' triton or rusting up the upright if i gotta keep recording sad songs.. may 2016.
